Maryland Welcomes You (Me), Enjoy Your (My) Visit, Signed [Wasteful Opportunist] (State #28)

October 8th, 2009

Seriously, how vain do you have to be to spend tax payer money in order to put your name on every welcome sign in the state? That’s just crass. Hope you lose next primary.

welcome-maryland (1)At least they *have* a sign — but at what cost?!

As an out-of-stater, let me attest to the fact that I did not feel any more welcomed into Maryland by the fact that the stupid governor put his name on the sign. Such arrogance.

Man. “Public servant” — hah! The public’s money serves him.

And I blurred his name out of the photo. He doesn’t need any more publicity he’s not paying for.

You seem to have issues with authority.

That’s an issue with someone with a huge ego who wants other people to pay for its inflation. I don’t understand how other people aren’t annoyed by that.

Come to Illinois. Of course, the elected governor wsa deposed and under indictment, but his name is still on the rapid toll signs. Most towns have signs with the town name and the mayor’s name. I, too, have issues with stupid politician names on signs. (With unrighteous authority, too, for that matter.)
